Who We Are
Hi I’m Marta. I began my career in the fashion photography industry in Toronto before moving to Hamilton and opening my own studio in The Cotton Factory. The studio specializes in Portrait, Fashion, and Branding Photography. I bring my 20 years of fashion experience to every photoshoot. My work can be seen in magazines and billboards across Hamilton, the GTA, and internationally.

MARTA HEWSON
Hi! I’m Jerrold, Marta’s husband and studio partner. I LOVE art! I love looking at art, talking about art, teaching art, making art, and being part of creative art projects.
My whole goal in working at the studio, is to get you excited about getting your portraits. My reward is when people say “thank you, that was a wonderful time.’
I am also the fun guy at the studio that gets to open the champagne for you, which also makes me very happy!
JERROLD HEWSON
Hi! I’m Katelyn.
I have 2 jobs here at the studio! I am the Studio Administrator, the first person of contact for answering questions and booking photoshoots. I am the one who will be greeting you!
Secondly, I am the in-house Hair and Makeup Artist! I have been doing makeup for over 8 years now, working on anything from film and tv, weddings, photoshoots, teaching, you name it! Anything related to makeup and art, I’m in!
My love for makeup and working with new faces brought me to the studio about 5 years ago where I first worked with Marta and Jerrold. Their creative vibes, positive attitude, work ethic, and connection to others made me want to work here all the time! I thought ‘Finally my kind of people that want to create art, work as a team all the while supporting me and allowing me to be myself!’ When they asked me to join their team, it was a no brainer for me. I absolutely love it here!
Katelyn O’Neil
OUR Studio
Although we really Love shooting on location (indoors or out… and we do it often) we are happy to spend much of our time in this magical space. Here we are either shooting, or editing, or running workshops and events, or just socializing with friends and clients. The studio is bright and inviting and has large windows that flood it with delightful natural light… mmmmmm, vitamin D! The studio is located in the charming historic Cotton Factory building, which coupled with our studio and backdrops, allows for limitless sets and shooting areas. In this relaxing and comfortable space, our clients can sit and enjoy some refreshments during a shooting break, listen to their favourite music, and take in the luxury experience we aim to offer.
